Polar Express play group

We were invited to a little Polar Express party put on by some neighbors. I didn't know a lot of the people there, but was able to meet people as we did the activities. There were three sections. One with hot chocolate, stories, and Santa. One with a santa or reindeer craft. And one with cookie decorating. Terran didn't sit well for the stories, but was patient waiting for his turn with Santa. I was really interested to see how he would do. He was interested and excited to see him, but didn't end up getting too close. Terran isn't the type of kid that I would make sit on Santa's lap, because what is fun about it if they are screaming and crying? He walked up to him and took the bell Santa was giving out, then smiled and waved as we were leaving.

From the very beginning, Terran was more excited about the scissors than anything else, so he was happy to get to the craft table. He helped me glue some things on his Santa, but mostly he just wanted to cut paper and spent a lot of time doing that.

He didn't really decorate cookies. By that time he was more interested in running around with all of the kids. I tried to give him some freedom and after a minute went to find him. There were a few moms looking for their kids and we couldn't find them right away. I heard a distant piano key and knew that's where my babe would be. Sure enough, he was leading the group in some shenanigans and playing the piano with the older kids. Typical T-Dub. :)

It was a fun afternoon and helped get us more in the Christmas spirit.
