Anniversary #7

Our anniversary this year was a notable one...Zach called me from work one day and said he had an idea for how to celebrate!!! First time in seven years. I almost cried. He said we could get dinner and go to the drive in and the best part was that we could even bring the kids (we are still both a little wary of using sitters and won't leave Kenna yet anyway). It was so perfect and thoughtful of him!

It didn't turn out as perfect as it sounded, but it was still awesome. Zach was a tad stressed on the way over, but we got dinner and Terran loved the first movie. Zach didn't. Kenna didn't stay asleep in the bed we brought for her so I ended up holding her the whole time and it was a little tiring. The car next to us had super loud, crappy speakers. I did get Terran to sleep in between movies and wishfully thought it would be nice to snuggle with Zach at that point but there wasn't quite room and I still was holding Kenna. Haha We both got tired and he was annoyed at the second movie so we bailed a tad early. Not quite as romantic as some, but the thought was there and I have repeatedly told Zach that is what matters most to me! I'm just glad he even thought about it this year!

Though it wasn't extremely romantic, this was a great one to remember how life was with littles!

And we didn't even take a picture together!

Two months

Miss Kenna is now two months old. With Terran, every new thing was so exciting and unknown, but with Kenna I just feel her infancy slipping through my fingers! I'm much busier this time around, but she is often so patient with me. She sleeps well, with a four to six hour stretch from when she falls asleep, and still quite a bit through the day.
Her smiles have become often throughout the day. She gives Daddy some of her best smiles.  She is often pretty content to just chill when I am doing things with Terran when she is awake, but when I give her attention she is so smiley.
I tried to give her a bottle and she refused and spit the milk out. She refused the pacifier. She likes being swaddled before bed and loves sucking on her first to hold of hunger.
She doesn't like to sit and be rocked, but insists on me standing to stay content. Sometimes she just wants mommy to hold her and I can't deny her that or blame her. She is already putting weight on her legs to stand. She no longer likes to snuggle against my chest but prefers to lean back and look at things. She is wonderful in each carrier I have tried.
I often carry her looking over my left shoulder and she likes to hang her arm over it. Sis loves the tub!

She is our little sweetie and I'm so happy she joined our family.

Terran and Kenna

I just love these two! Terran loves giving Sister lots of kisses and is adamant about their placement (usually her cheek). Right now she is pretty good about it all but sometimes needs some face space!

Brother sister time

Cutest story:

Kenna woke up as I was getting ready for church and I hear Terran say "it's okay baby sis, I'm right here." I go to check on them and he had gotten his stool and was patting her belly and trying to crawl in her crib. I helped him in so he could comfort her.
